Through FileCenter, the company's flagship program, users can organize their computer files as if they were paper files-and eliminate the influx of dead-tree paper while they're at it. "The objective is to try to take away the main pain point that most users feel: trying to deal with the constant daily inflow of paper and computer files," says Jeff Pickard, CEO and president of Lucion Technologies. Exclusively for Windows operating systems, FileCenter doesn't store its users' files in a database. Instead, the program runs on top of existing files, so privacy-minded customers don't need to worry that their information is anywhere but the systems they've stored it on.
