The April 2016 issue of Computers in Libraries features a series of interesting articles on Big Data. One by Susan Gardner Archambault, "Telling Your Story: Using Dashboards and Info-graphics for Data Visualization," covers the issues involved in designing data presentations. Which type of data needs which type of chart or visual format? Which colors would give which key or less-than-key data the necessary or not-so-necessary pop? One factor seems to be missing from this article, however: some way to visualize the quality or lack of quality of the actual data.
