Free access to IRWI database to print subscribers of the journal on CSA Illumina

It is more than likely that many print users of Information Research Watch International (IRWI) do not know that they are entitled to access the IRWI database on CSA Illumina for free. The aim of this editorial is not to give information about how to search the database. This was well covered by Elizabeth Rowan in the June 2002 issue of IRWI. The new system (CSA Illumina) is very similar to search to the previous interface, IDS. The aims are to make print subscribers aware of the other half of the service, namely the free access to the online database, and how to cope with the new CSA Illumina user interface when accessing the IRWI database. IRWI covers LIS and related research projects from 1980 to the present day. There are now just over 10 000 project entries to search on the IRWI database. These range from academic theses to practical case studies from all around the world.
