Research Challenges in Text, Discourse and Communication

摘要

Research Challenges in Text, Discourse and Communication discusses hot topics in information design from a variety of perspectives, including computational, psycho-linguistic, stylistic and sociological. Frank Hakemulder, affiliated with the Institute for Media and Culture Studies at Utrecht University, argues that reading literary texts can have an enormous impact on the lives of individuals as well as on society at large. Interdisciplinary research challenges lie ahead to determine the conditions under which literary texts offer keys to solving some of the major problems in our world.
