Discussion of “Challenges of Connecting Shipboard Marine Systems to Medium Voltage Shoreside Electric Power”

This paper discusses the author''s work on challenges of connecting shipboard marine systems to medium voltage shoreside electric power. The paper makes the statement that five ships with medium-voltage distribution systems have been found to be cost effective. By this, the reader can assume that either perhaps all 12 ships are with medium-voltage distribution systems or that the five ships use a medium-voltage distribution system. However, neither of these assumptions is correct.
