Flexible production and improved production processes are the headlines under which the trends at the ITMA 2003 for winding, twisting and cabling technology were named. Novelties were aiming for higher production, increased productivity and improved quality for technical yarns as well as an improvement of operator friendliness. The market for technical textiles showed an intensive growth throughout the last years and also future prospects are promising. This trend also applies for technical yarns and pushed development at the winding, threading and cabling technology.
