Traditional marketing cycles don't include efforts to improve or verify the methods used to create value. But markets, like everything else, include variation, which leads to defects. Since reducing defects and streamlining operations are hallmarks of lean Six Sigma, adapting that methodology to tackle marketing issues could yield vast riches. After all, continuous improvement has a track record of success in virtually every department that makes up a modem business.
