The latest computer technology, combined with innovative insight and design, has enabled Wires Engineering of Italy to develop the latest solution to an age old problem - the slabbing of granite. It is well known in the world's stone industry that for the mass production of granite slabs 40 mm thick- or less for the construction industries, frame sawing is the most economic method. However, as more and more stone processors are increasingly paying greater attention to their overall operating costs and environmental considerations, a cleaner, faster alternative to this type of technology is becoming increasingly more appealing.
