摘要

There exist many processes to produce Cr_2O_3 from chrome-ores. Different particle size ranges of Cr_2O_3 powder, fine pigment grade green Cr_2O_3 and coarse metallurgy grade black Cr_2O_3, are made by different processes in China. Green Cr_2O_3 as superfines and metallurgy grade black Cr_2O_3 used to synthesize Cr_2O_3 grain can be applied to refractories. It is very difficult for high purity Cr_2O_3 to densify by sintering, but TiO_2 additions contribute to densification of Cr_2O_3 sintered at high temperature. Cr_2O_3 grains with relative density of 91% ~ 95% are gained by sintering Cr_2O_3 with TiO_2 addition and electrofusing Cr_2O_3 raw materials.
