Aluminous electrical porcelain doped with BA~2+

The effect of Ba~2+/ and Li~+ as mineralizers on the physical, mechanical and electrical properties of aluminous electrical porcelain, has been studied. It has been shown that addition of 3 mass/100 BaO in the form of BvaCO_3 decreases the mullite content and the mechanical properties. On the other hand, the vitrification behaviour and electrical properties showed a great improvements. The addition of 3 mass/100 BaO + 1 mass/100 LiF gives fully vitrified aluminous bodies with a reasonable mechanical and electrical properties.
