摘要

Isostatically pressed articles show increased crack formation because of their specific structure and mineralogical composition, which is characterized by a high content of kaolinite. Stress calculations b finite element method 9FEM) have shown that the stresses reached their maximum value in the tem- perature range in which kaolinite dehydroxylation takes place. The reasons for this are the high degree of shrinkage during dehydroxylation and the endothermic characters of the reaction which additionally increases the temperature difference in the stacked tableware.
