BREEDING PARK FOR TASAR SILKWORM IN UTTARANCHAL: A FEASIBILITY

摘要

The sequences of evidence have shown that many eco-types of tasar silkworm have been lost due to inbreeding depression and sudden outbreak of diseases. High degree of inbreeding results in expression of lethal genes making silkworm vulnerable to the adverse climate and diseases. The authors suggest establishment of breeding parks to overcome the problem.
