Ghar sodhon: A novel disinfectant for rearing house and appliances

摘要

Disinfection of rearing house is vital to ensure successful silkworm rearing by complete destruction of disease causing pathogens. Disinfectants like Formalin, Bleaching powder, Slaked lime and Chlorine Dioxide are used to improve hygiene, to absorb moisture by regulating humidity in rearing house and on rearing appliances/equipments. The paper presents Ghar Sodhon as an ideal disinfectant over others.
