Virtual Press Conferences Conducted in NFR to Showcase the Steps Taken to Increase Ease-of-Doing Business

Shri Sanjive Roy, General Manager/ N. F. Railway addressed a virtual Press Conference on 28.08.2020. During the press conference he informed the representatives of media that NFR is taking several steps to increase ease-of-doing business with Railways. To provide more thrust to freight transportation, NFR has taken measures to attract new customers and to make transportation through rail easier. This has resulted into increase in freight transportation and loading/ unloading during August, 2020 in comparison to the same month last year in spite of COVID related economic slowdown and restrictions. Apart from monitoring all freight trains constantly to ensure increased average speed, facilities and infrastructure at all goods sheds are also being improved to facilitate faster loading/ unloading.
