CRB Reviews Infrastructural Development Works at Tirupati Railway Station

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman, Railway Board reviewed the ongoing infrastructural works pertaining to construction of new platform and inspected passenger amenity works at Tirupati Railway Station. He commissioned three SEGWAYS 'Hover Board', a Self-Balancing Scooter for enabling quick response towards Security needs of passengers by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel round the clock on 6th January, 2020 in the presence of Shri Gajanan Mallya, General Manager, SC Railway. Tirupati is the first railway station on South Central Railway to be provided with these two-wheel battery operated scooters. The Railway Station is one of the major rail hubs catering to a huge number of passenger traffic. The three SEGWAYS commissioned will facilitate mobility of RPF personnel to attend distress calls of passengers. This will also enhance visible policing. Shri Yadav complimented the efforts of the Zone and Guntakal Division for execution of infrastructural and passenger amenity works in and around Tirupati Railway Station and maintaining utmost cleanliness standards despite huge footfall.
