With 4136 Route kilometers (including 87.5 km Narrow Gauge) spread over ten States, Northeast Frontier Railway is one of the biggest zones of Indian Railways. The geographical and cultural diversity of the region manifests in the multitude of aspirations and expectations of the people of the region. Over the years, Northeast Frontier Railway has been successful in addressing the concerns, need and demands of the people of the region without compromising on its goal of providing an economic, reliable and efficient means of communication besides providing the last-mile connectivity in the region.
