Tribal Painting 'Wall' at Allahabad Junction formally opened for Public

The 'Tribal Painting Wall' at Allahabad Junction station, which was created recently under the guidance of the North Central Railway Women's Welfare Organization (NCRWWO), was formally opened to the public on 30 July, 2018. The wall is on the west side of the Allahabad Junction station and, being adjacent to plat- form No. 1, affords a beautiful view of Tribal 'Gond' paintings to the passengers of the trains entering and leaving Allahabad Station from platform number 1. 'Gond' is a traditional form of painting hailing from Madhya Pradesh which has attained National and International recognition because of its beauty, intricacy, and the folk and tribal tales inherent in the paintings.
