摘要

A simple method to determine the excitonic energy levels of opaque polymer films by the study of their optical reflection spectra has been developed. The method is based upon reflection of incident photon beam by the excitonic levels in the polymer, which seems to follow the modified Ryd-gerg's equation. The energy levels for thick films obtained by this method correspond to those obtained by optical absorption spectroscopy for corresponding thin films. The effect of electric field on the optical spectra of polypyrrole films has been studied.
