摘要

For investigating the dielectric behaviour of isolated molecules, the dielectric parameters, viz., the dielectric constant (ε'') of ω-chloroacetophenone, p-methyl benzoyl chloride and 1,3-di-isopropyl benzene in solution in benzene at various temperatures, have been measured using a 3 cm microwave bench. The dipole moments of each molecule and so also their dielectric relaxation times (τ) have been calculated which shows a relation of direct proportionality with the size of the molecule concerned.
