Environmental management systems for the textile industry: A case study

Increasing Environmental responsibilities on part of the management to comply with environment protection and pol- lution control legislations and escalating environmental compliance and remediation costs, has created a need for effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The focus of EMS is to conserve input resource and to protect the environ- Ment. This paper describes the ISO 14000 series as an effective tool for environment management systems applied to textile Industries.
