Action of grinding aids in cement production

摘要

This is a broad overview of the use of cement additives in the cement production, focusing on the mechanism of action of grinding aids (GA). A distinction will be made between pure GA and GA-performance enhancers, that act on the mechanical characteristics of the cement. In the end, the benefits of the use of cement additives have been considered, together with a brief outline on their industrial and economical evaluation.
