摘要

This paper presents the mechanical properties of self compacting concrete with steel slag used as a replacement for natural sand. Many alternatives have been tried to resolve lack of availability of natural aggregates. Interest has been developed to use steel slag in concrete. Self compacting concrete has revolutionizing the decade and draws the attention to use the steel slag in SCC. Porosity of steel slag as coarse aggregate increases the surface area permitting only less paste for flow. Hence steel slag as fine aggregate is used in this work. It can be observed that a maximum of 50% steel slag replacement can be used in SCC.
