THE VALUE OF A TREE

The determination of the value in our society is awfully arbitrary. Some times it loosely follows the rule of demand and supply, some times the assessment is made on the basis of cost benefit ratio, but in many cases there hardly any such rule or a standard yard-stick exists. Some times we remain totally blind, particularly with regard to the value of natural resources, the value of a tree is one of them.
