There has been a considerable amount of interest lately in regard to older fire alarm equipment, reporting systems, etc. The increasing interest in old municipal fire alarm boxes in on-line auctions has led to a surge of inquiries regarding the fire alarm controls of yesteryear. Fire alarm technicians still encounter some of the old systems, many of which surprisingly are still operating in older buildings, and even more surprisingly, are still operating very well, providing operation that is considerably less sophisticated than current systems, but, somewhat like a Mack truck, are unstoppable.
