摘要

The earthquake that occurred off the northern coast of Sumatra, Indonesia, in the morning of December 26th 2004, measured 9.3 on the Richter scale - the second biggest earthquake ever recorded. The tsunami that followed struck the Indian Ocean region with such tremendous force, it led to the deaths of at least 270,000 people. Along with sensitivity, such a massive event required huge resources for the news coverage. How was it handled in Thailand? This report came from Martyn Green, a freelance cameraman well known to Cinema Technology readers, who joined APTN's team, the day following the disaster.
