摘要

With the emergence of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 1994 and after the entry into force of the WTO Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) in 199S, more than half of the countries worldwide were required to abide by a minimum standard of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) protection as an obligation to adhere to the WTO and hence the TRIPS Agreement.
