The WTO Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights - A Commentary

The dominance of Australian academics in the English-speaking IP world has long been as inexplicable as undisputable, and this work, written by three Australian academics, confirms the pattern. The authors have done a remarkable job in publishing a well-written and well-researched commentary on the TRIPS Agreement. The Commentary interprets TRIPS based on the methods recognised under international law (Vienna Convention, literal interpretation, WTO case law), and briefly explains the concept behind each article. By choice, the Commentary is short on the controversial history of the agreement, and those who are interested in this aspect must look elsewhere.
