If the images (ads) on our cover and below made you do a double-take, we hope they have the same impact on the thousands of readers who will see them in newspapers all over the world on 3 May, World Press Freedom Day.There is no one better than my friend and colleague, Andrew Heslop, who is WAN-IFRA's Press Freedom and Media Development editor, to explain the significance of 3 May. Andy's passion for this critical cause and dedication to his craft are a constant source of inspiration to me - and I am sure to others. The same can be said of our entire Press Freedom and Media Development team and the work they do (see pages 10 and 11).
