Scale of the system LSIs such as mixed signal LSIs has been more increasing for realizing multi-function and complex systems. Although such LSIs include a lot of digital and a few analog circuits, it is no exaggeration to say that the performance of the LSIs is decided depending on the performance of analog circuits which are required high speed, low voltage and low power consumption and so on. I believe that this special section is a good chance to promote analog circuit techniques in recent digital-oriented era.
