Special Section on Information Theory and Its Applications

摘要

The special section on Information Theory and Its Applications of the IEICE Transaction in Fundamentals is devoted to new theoretical developments and techniques in information theory and its applications. The growing interest in this area is illustrated by the submission of 42 papers and 9 letters for the Special Section on Information Theory and Its Applications.Almost half of the submitted papers this year were originally presented at the 32th Symposium on Information Theory and its Applications (SITA2009) held in Yuda-Onsen (Yamaguchi, Japan, December 1-4, 2009). The other papers mainly originated from international institutions outside Japan.
