Since the evaluation of MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) antennas requires complex radiation patterns as well as propagation channels, its process and analyses are cumbersome and complicated in general. In this report, a novel approximation formula for mean MIMO channel capacity is presented, where it only requires S-parameter of the antenna. The numerical analyses are performed and showed that this formula gives mean channel capacity with a good accuracy when a signal-to-noise ratio ≥ 30 dB and the number of the antenna elements ≤ 4.%MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output)アンテナの評価には複素指向性の取得が必要な上,チャネル容量を求めるためには伝搬チャネルを考慮する必要があり,手順や計算は複雑となる.本報告では,計算または測定が比較的容易なアンテナのSパラメータのみを用いてMIMOチャネル容量の期待値を求める近似式を提案する.数値解析結果より,信号対雑音比が30dB以上でアンテナ数が4素子以下の場合に提案近似式によつて良好な精度でチヤネル容量を計算可能であることが明らかになった.
