Noise Reduction Method for Image Compression Using ICA

摘要

In recent years, many methods for image compression have been proposed. Especially, JPEG and MPEG have achieved high compression ratio while these can not recover the original images completely. In these methods, image data are reduced in spatial frequency domain according to a human eye property. In this study, we have developed a new method to reduce image data with noise components in the image using an Independent Component Analysis (ICA).
