摘要

We investigate the insulation properties of CO_2 gas in the presence of a metallic particle. CO_2 gas attracts attention as an alternative gas to SF_6 gas because of its relatively very small global warming coefficient gas and relatively good dielectric strength. To design CO_2 gas-insulated apparatus, the influence of a metallic particle on insulation properties has to be clarified. In this paper, we investigate the motion of a metallic particle and partial discharges in CO_2 and SF_6 gases by measuring acoustic and electromagnetic signals. As a result, it was found that a free metallic particle motion differs in CO_2 gas and SF_6 gas because of differences in partial discharge characteristics.
