摘要

We study the effect of Rayleigh fading in a multihop mobile packetnradio network (PRN) with capture. Four transmission strategies based onntwo previously proposed routing schemes, most forward with fixed rangen(MFR) and nearest with forward progress (NFP), and two new routingnschemes, minimal angular deviation (MAD) and angular deviation tontransmission range ratio (ARR), are studied. Results show that thentransmission strategy based on the ARR routing scheme is generallynsuperior to those based on the other three routing schemes. It is foundnthat all four transmission strategies perform worse in the presence ofnRayleigh fading. This is in contrast to single-hop systems in whichnRayleigh fading generally does not result in poorer performance
