Analysis of the radial symmetrical modes of thin piezoceramic rings

摘要

In this work, the radial symmetric vibration modes of thinnpiezoceramic rings have been analyzed by means of a previously proposedntheoretical model. Both the resonance frequencies and the effectivenelectromechanical coupling factor (keff), as a function ofnthe aspect ratio G between the inner and outer radii of the ring, werencomputed. The results have shown that the disk structure (G→0) hasnonly one radial symmetrical mode (with its harmonics), but, for the ringnstructure (G→1), two different modes are clearly distinguished: thenring mode, which has no harmonics, and a width-like mode, with itsnharmonics. Moreover, the results show that the ring structure can benassumed to be definitely reached for G>0.6. An analysis of thenmaterial coupling factor in the ring geometry is reported as well
