Coherent pulsed Doppler ultrasonic velocimeters cannot measurenlarge blood velocities in deep vessels. To overcome this limitation, annonuniform sampling method is proposed. The method is based on adding andelayed sampling sequence interlaced to the conventional one. The timeninterval between two consecutive samples can be continuously adjusted tonavoid undesirable sample volumes. Experimental results are shown,nconfirming theoretical expectations that the maximum measurable velocitynand the maximum measurable velocity width are doubled
