摘要

Four distinct uninterruptible power supply topologies arenpresented here for powering hybrid fiber/coaxial (HFC) networks.nTopologies based on a low frequency isolation transformer are found tonhave better efficiency than the topologies with high frequencyntransformer. However, the latter topologies have much better performancenin terms of transient response, quality of the output voltage, inputnpower factor, total harmonic distortion of the input current, size andnweight. The series-parallel resonant based UPS topology is found to havenbest overall performance for the emerging HFC applications
