摘要

A model with linear pulse superposition and nonlinear pulse displacement is suggested for the magnetic recording system. The isolated read pulse is assumed as definite system response to the write current transition. The pulse displacements have been investigated for a high-density flexible disk system. Two types of pulse shift have been identified, both putting the read pulse in an earlier position. Interference with the foregoing transitions and with the following transition are analyzed. Write precompensations that remove the nonlinear pulse displacement from the read signal are derived.
