摘要

This paper refers to the nonexcited reluctance machine for high rotational speed operation. A finite element method is used to solve Maxwell's equation in the machine and to calculate, at a given slip, the operational impedances. Saturation of the rotor and stator is taken into account by using an equivalent spatial dependent permeability. This method is applied to both smooth and slotted rotors when starting under constant voltage, and to the design of rotor slots.
