摘要

In this paper, we illustrate the use of a copper strip coil to measure magnetoimpedance (MI) of a cylindrical sample of Co0.6Zn0.4Fe1.7Mn0.3O4(CZFMO) using an impedance analyzer to directly measure changes in ac magnetoresistance (MR) and magnetoreactance (MX). MI of CZFMO cannot be measured directly due to its insulating behavior, hence the strip-coil method provides a good alternative for it. The changes observed in MI are a consequence of the changes in permeability of the sample with varying magnetic field and frequency. At high frequencies, the strip coil was able to detect ferromagnetic resonance signatures along with large changes in ac MR and MX of about 108% for ΔR/R0and 2639% for ΔX/X0on applying a dc magnetic field of 1888 and 2943 Oe, respectively, at 2.2 GHz.
