Limitations on the possible resolution enhancement of ERS-1 scatterometer images

If methods can be devised for enhancing the spatial resolution of ERS-1 scatterometer images, then this will help to extend the range of land applications for which this data is appropriate. This paper shows that it is not possible to improve the resolution below a limit of /spl sim/25 km.
