Ultra High-Repetition-Rate Pulse Sources Based on Cascaded Four Wave Mixing in EYDF

摘要

We report all-fiber tunable ultrahigh-repetition-rate sub-picosecond pulse sources around 1550 nm. The sources are based on cascaded four wave mixing in an erbium–ytterbium co-doped fiber without extra nonlinear fiber. They are seeded by a spacing-tunable phase conjugated dual-wavelength parametric light source centered at 1550 nm. The repetition rate of the pulse sources can be tuned continuously in the range of 0.75–2.75 THz by adjusting the wavelength spacing of the dual-wavelength light source. We use auto-correlator to measure the waveform of the pulses. The duration of the pulses is about 100 fs.
