摘要

Accurate performance evaluation of direct-sequence pseudonoisencode acquisition on Rayleigh fading channels is investigated. For fadingnchannels the homogeneous Markov chain model, used to characterize thenacquisition process over additive white Gaussian noise channels, is nonlonger valid due to the correlations between cell detections incurred bynfading. Hence, the traditional direct and flow-graph approaches fornperformance evaluation of the code acquisition are not applicable tonfading channels. In this paper, a new analysis is proposed for accuratenevaluation of the acquisition performance on Rayleigh fading channels.nThe analysis is quite general and can include various search strategies,ntypes of correlators, and test methods with different performancenmeasures: probability mass function and/or moments of acquisition time.nAnalytical and simulation results show that the new method predicts thenacquisition performance very accurately
