With the proliferation of wireless network technologies, mobilenusers are expected to demand the same quality of service (QoS) availablento fixed users. This paper presents a predictive and adaptive scheme tonsupport timed-QoS guarantees in pico- and micro-cellular environments.nThe proposed scheme integrates the mobility model into the service modelnto achieve efficient network resource utilization and avoid severennetwork congestion. The mobility model uses a probabilistic approach tondetermine the most likely cluster to be visited by the mobile unit. Thenadmission control is invoked when a new call arrives or an existing callnperforms a handoff to verify the feasibility of supporting the call. Thenperformance of the proposed schemes is compared to the shadow clusternscheme. The performance of the proposed scheme under different trafficnpatterns is also presented
