摘要

It was found experimentally that LiNbO/sub 3/ and a dense flint glass acoustooptical modulator can work at the second harmonic. It is also shown theoretically that this kind of piezooscillator (transducer) might have a nonodd harmonic. Utilizing the second harmonic modulator, the second harmonic mode locking of the Ar/sup +/ laser was experimentally demonstrated.
