In this paper, we describe how to phase and frequency stabilize ancontinuous wave (CW) Raman laser. We model and measure the transfernfunction of a high-finesse cavity filled with a Raman active gas. Innaddition, we model the time dependence of the temperature-inducednoscillations inherent to the CW Raman laser. The results set the minimumnfeedback-loop bandwidth at about 100 kHz to adequately suppress thentemperature-induced oscillations. The required bandwidth is an order ofnmagnitude larger than the empty resonator case
