Computer algorithm for selection of frequency relays for load shedding

A technique is presented for designing a load-shedding scheme using underfrequency relays to limit the effect of system overloads. The necessary theoretical background is provided. The steps that are taken in designing a load-shedding scheme are outlined. The computer software is described.
