The Canadian government, through Canada's ecoEnergy Innovation Initiative and Clean Energy Fund, is providing C$1.5 million in financing for Water Wall Turbine Inc.'s (WWTurbine) Dent Island Tidal Energy demonstration project. According to Natural Resources Canada, WWTurbine plans to deploy its 500-kW tidal energy device in November off of the Dent Island Resort near Vancouver Island, on the coast of British Columbia.
