Hydro activity continues strong in India

Development work is ongoing in several locations in India. The Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) recently upheld India's right to divert water from a Neelum River tributary for National Hydroelectric Power Corporation's 330 MW Kishanganga project, being built by HCC-Halcrow Consortium. At the same time, Pakistan's Water and Power Development Authority has progressed in its plans to develop the 969 MW Neelum-Jhelum plant, which would be located downstream from Kishanganga on the same river system.
