Rear admiral Sir David Haslam

Rear admiral sir David Haslam, former Australian hydrographer, former British hydrographer and former president of the International Hydrographic Bureau (IHB) Directing Committee, died in England at the age of 86 on 4th August 2009.I think that there is no hydrographer who did not know him. He had been present on the international hydrographic scene since 1967, when he first attended an International Hydrographic Conference as head of the Australian Delegation.
